Last day and the last session has just finished. The lads have done brilliant all week they have really worked hard. I have been training hard myself with Soss (Ian Liversedge) doing plenty of rehab work for my groins since the operation and they are getting stronger each day.

All the work is done as far as this trip goes and we are leaving for the airport soon to return home. I think everybody is looking forward to getting home and relaxing before we get back to work on the training ground on Thursday.

The trip has been great all in all and everybody has got a lot out of the fitness work. It has been a little frustrating for me since I have not been able to join in very much with the rest of the lads but I am still happy that I have improved quite well on strengthening my groins.

Looking forward now to joining in more and more as the pre-season period goes on and really looking forward to resuming full training and being fit in time for the beginning of the season.

Steve Carlin, director of youth football

Fleetwood Town players were repayed a hard morning workout with a relaxing leisure afternoon in a communial Spa in the German town of Rosenheim.  Players and coaches alike relaxed in the Suanas and pool as the weeks training comes to a close.  Cohesion within the group of players is increasing with every session and this leisure time allowed for the squad to gel in a more relaxed atmosphere, providing a distraction from the heat and strain of the training.  The various water treatments on offer were popular to ease aching muscles as well as providing a well deserved break from training.

We're coming to the end of our training week in Obertraun and we are about to set off fairly soon for our first friendly of the season. The facilities available here is top class and it's not suprising why so many good football teams train here during pre-season. My main role during this week has been analysing players heart rates to determine their work intensity and what work intensities they can maintain during longer runs and practice games. The lads have been fantastic and have all put an incredible amount of effort into the training during a very tough first week back, the fact we are training at altitude makes it even harder as well. As a team with new players and staff such as myself, this week away has been perfect for everyone to get to know each other so when we get back over to England we will hit the ground running.

It's been a good week for the boys. We've worked hard and really put the effort in. We're all tired but have all enjoyed the week in Obertraun. The place where we've stayed is a good setup. All the facilities are first class. The staff have been friendly and helpful and the whole experience has been a good one. I'd would definitely come back if the opportunity arose.

Really enjoying first week at the club apart from Gareth Seddon's banter. Looking forward to first game tonight, lads look really fit and up for it.

Everything going well in Austria. The work has been hard be we all know it's for the good in the long run. Everyone looks in good shape and we are all preparing in the right way for the clubs biggest season so far. Team spirit is really strong. We are all getting along and having a good laugh. It's been a good experience for us all. The week has been particulalry pleasing for me on a personal level because I'm back in full-time football at a great club.

Steve Pope club psychotherapist

I work with the players on their mental preparation for games and dealing with  their confidence, anxiety  and any personal problems that may enter into their lives. Increasingly, professionals such as myself are utilised to work with soccer teams.

This week we have been preparing player profiles which includes all their strengths and weaknesses. We will also set goals on a monthly and season basis so as we can keep the player improving and monitor his progress towards those targets. Different techniques are used to enhance their performance such as visualisation and imagery which encourages them to reflect on their greatest moments in football not their worst  - it's all about "we are what we think".

This season  we are encouraging the players to gain a better understanding of  the mental aspects of preparation for sports. A very similar programme is planned for all our junior teams over coming months as well.

This week has been very interesting as with the arrival of several new faces. The dynamics of the squad has changed and I am pleased to report that we are psychologically a very strong unit. I expect that the players and staff  the manager has brought in will ensure success for Fleetwood Town and we will go from strength to strength.

This has been a great week for getting the team to bond and the facilities have been superb. We are rubbing shoulders with Apoel Nicosia and now Sheffield Wednesday.  I look forward to seeing you at forthcoming games . POPEY

Saturday afternoon, after two very hard sessions in searing heat the lads are beginning to show signs of fatigue. The quality of work has been first class and so far has served it's purpose in being an excellent 'bonding ' week.

A special mention has to be given to the three young lads, Joe, Adam and Jack who have not only trained hard but also helped willingly with the balls, bibs and cones, a thankless task !

Everything has now been set up for our first game tomorrow and this gives good focus for all the lads who have worked hard to prepare.

Roll on the season, I for one, seeing the quality of our squad, am looking forward to our new adventure, well done the all the lads !

Micky Mellon manager

Today will be our 16th session. To put that into perspective, at this time last year we had done 2!!!! The attitude has been first class and spirit in the camp fantastic!! We are still doing  3 sessions a day at the moment. The long running that was getting done at 7am in the morning has come to an end today. Most work is now getting done on the football pitch, We will hopefully see some of you at our first game at Lancaster City next Saturday.

Best wishes, Micky

Steve Curwood chief executive

It's been a very impressive stay so far. From what I've seen of the sessions we have some great additions to the squad. The facilities are up there with the best. The lads had a bit of R&R yesterday, with a trip up the mountain and they watched Mlada Boroslav v Apoel Nicosia in a friendly which took place on the complex last night. They're getting another three sessions in today, just finished the early run, before tomorrow's friendly over in Zell-am-See, which will be a good run out.

Austria has been brilliant upto now, we look like we have a really good squad and everyone is getting on.

The facilities and training has been superb and we are all feeling the benefits already, apart from being the stiffest man in the world right now.

Its now Friday and for the first time we didnt do our 7am run -
which is 6am back home ha ha. But what a lovely view from the running track eh Grandy?

We played 3x 30 min games today and everyone looked sharp for the first 4 mins ha ha. No, it was really good and we have some great additions to the squad.

Some lads are missing home (oh maybe just the sight of a female) but only 4 days to go and I'm sure plenty more running to come. But it has been great upto now, hopefully we will put in a good performance on Sunday against the highly rated opposition.

Over and out.

Danny Hurst 1

A later start today with no run before breakfast today. Basically, we had a stretching session at 10am and warm-up. We then played three half hour games.  Hard work in the heat but we made sure plenty of fluid was taken on board.

Just had lunch and this afternoon it a up to the mountain in a cable car. There'a cafe at the top and I looking forward to it even though I'm not the best with heights.

Danny Moore physio

Well the morning session is about to start after another 4 mile run before breakfast. All the lads have been working really hard and will definatley feel the benifits. There has not been any injuries so far, but lots of the lads are suffering with blisters and tired muscles which is to be expected during preseason training.

Nathan Pond 6

All the lads are getting on well. New players have been made welcome. It's been three sessions a day and all have benn very hard. All the hard work is going in the bank for start of the season.

The place is beautiful, good scenary and great facilities. It would be ideal if not for all the hard work. Saying that, we do have some free time in the evening to take a look around.

Ian Craney 8
