We’re all in it together, trying to get the fitness up for the season to come. Obviously we’re all fighting for our position, so it’s important to get as fit as possible. Everyone is helping each other as well because we’re a team and we’ll get all the work done together.

Madden has them on the run
Assistant manager Craig Madden
Some of the lads are flying and some are biting the bullet at the moment. The weather isn’t helping at the moment – it’s really hot – but the majority look in good condition. It’s only our third full day into pre-season and we’re delighted to be here and we just want to get some hard work done this week.

Off the bus and into training
The Fleetwood Town squad arrived in Scotland on Monday in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon run. Fitness is a key aspect of pre-season training but the evening session will Town take to the pitch for the first time since the return from the summer break last Friday. Micky Mellon is taking advantage of the long summer evenings in Scotland to push his squad to three sessions each day - this evening's stint will last from 7.30-9.00pm.
